Akshaye Khanna shares fan’s savage post calling out audience hypocrisy

Akshaye Khanna sparked a fresh conversation online after sharing a fan’s sharp, sarcastic post on his Instagram Story that took a dig at audience hypocrisy.

The fan-made post featured a photo of Khanna in his Dhurandhar avatar and carried the text: “Jab movie me hero tha tab koi movie dekhne nahi gaya. Ab Legend Legend chilla rahe hai (When he was the hero in the movie, no one went to watch it. Now everyone is shouting ‘Legend, Legend).” His decision to repost it immediately triggered discussions across social media, with many praising him for keeping it real.

The moment came shortly after Khanna’s intense first look from Dhurandhar was officially unveiled. The poster shows him with blood stains on his shirt and face, hinting at a gritty and high-stakes character arc. While sharing the poster earlier, the makers wrote, “The Apex Predator. #DhurandharTrailer Out Tomorrow at 12:12 PM. In Cinemas 5th December (sic).”

The film also stars Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal in key roles. Presented by Jio Studios and produced under the B62 Studios banner, Dhurandhar is written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar as co-producers.

A spy thriller centred on the untold stories of men who operate in the shadows of covert missions, Dhurandhar is slated to release in cinemas on December 5, 2025.
