Alan Carr secured the £87,500 jackpot on his own
Alan Carr has won the Celebrity Traitors after managing to convince Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga he was a Faithful.
The Chatty Man host was left in tears as he finally revealed his Traitor status to his fellow finalists on the BBC show.
The 49-year-old secured the £87,500 jackpot all on his own, which he has chosen to donate to children’s cancer charity, Neuroblastoma UK.
His fellow Traitor, Cat Burns was the first to be banished at the Round Table, after receiving three votes. In a shock move, Joe Marler was next to be banished.
He was the only player who had managed to work out that Cat and Alan were both Traitors.
Alan managed to go undetected for most of the series despite several suspicious moves throughout the show, including his hilarious ‘I am A Faithful’ plea to the group, which left him in fits of laughter.
After Alan voted for David in the first round of banishments, he decided to end the game, which David and Nick also agreed with.
The comedian’s big win comes just hours after the final episode was hit by chaos on Thursday morning.
The results of the BBC programme were kept top secret until the major leak sent fans into a frenzy as the final episode was shared online ahead of it going live.
In it, the winner’s name was revealed and details from the episode were also shared, threatening to ruin the final for fans.
Canadian streamer Crave reportedly uploaded the episode yesterday evening, with hundreds of people tuning in to watch it and finding out who wins the game.
Disappointed fans soon took to social media in the fallout to complain about stumbling across spoilers, after Canadian viewers posted the result online.
The episode was swiftly pulled from the streaming service, but not before fans had seen it and shared what they knew.
