Alix Earle earned one of the highest scores of the night on Dancing with the Stars’ Halloween episode on October 28, but one judge kept her from earning a perfect score.
After performing a tango to Billie Eilish’s “Bury a Friend” with professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy, the pair received a 39 out of 40, putting Earle at the top of the leaderboard.
The near-perfect score fell one point short due to guest judge Cheryl Burke, who gave Earle a nine. Watching from home, Earle’s stepmother, Ashley Dupre, shared her reaction in a TikTok video filmed during the scoring.
When Burke’s paddle showed a nine, Dupre could be heard saying, “Oh, go take more Ozempic!” Her children, who appeared beside her, repeated the line in confusion, “Go take more Ozempic?” Dupre then added, “What? She looks weird. Doesn’t even look like her.”
Burke has previously spoken about her physical changes and aging, though she has not said she uses GLP-1 medication.
In an interview with People earlier this year, she said, “I’ve noticed not only my skin changing into mature skin, but also just my metabolism has changed quite a lot.”
She also said, “As a dancer, we were stuck in front of mirrors constantly; it was important to stay at a certain weight, and my dance coaches were really strict.”
Addressing social media speculation about her appearance, Burke noted, “These are all assumptions that people have thrown at me, as far as Ozempic, my face. I’ve always had criticism, but what’s shocking is that this is worse than when I gained weight. These are really mean and cruel messages.”

Despite her comments toward Burke, Dupre expressed pride in her stepdaughter’s performance. In her TikTok caption, she wrote, “INSANE!!!! So proud of you!!!! @Alix Earle @Val.”
Dupre married Alix’s father, Thomas “TJ” Earle, in 2013. He was formerly married to Alissa Earle, Alix’s mom. TJ Earle had an affair with Dupre during his marriage to Alissa, which Alix has opened up about on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
The couple shares three children, Izabel, Penelope, and Thomas James Earle II, in addition to Thomas’ daughters from his previous marriage, Alix and Ashtin.
