The D-day is finally here! Ranveer Singh’s eagerly awaited spy actioner, Dhurandhar: the Revenge, is now in cinemas. Though the film released in theatres today, it held a few paid previews yesterday, paving the way for early reactions. Many celebrities and moviegoers caught the early shows and are sharing their reviews on social media.

A fan said, “In the last half hour, first the entire cinema hall was seething with anger, then they all started laughing hysterically, they weren’t laughing at some jokes, it was the pleasure of satisfaction, for the way Aditya Dhar chose to close the loose ends. Then it ends with introspection. A solid movie where time just passes. I was worried a sequel, made up of stuff which was edited out, not good enough for the 1st part, like the porridge your mom makes of the leftover food. The first half felt that way, Akshay was missed. It felt like it was meandering. Then it picks up right after interval, then never leaves your collar. Ranveer excels again. You walk out satisfied.”

1,500 cr+ business loading. The direction, screenplay, background score is just top notch

Not many will agree to this and its totally fine but Dhurandhar 2 was mediocre at its best. It’s full of BJP propaganda and this time they do not even try to be subtle about it.
Also not even half as engaging as 1st part.

Dhurandhar 2 was good. But honestly there is too much chest thumping of Modi govt. The story sometimes felt more of govt film more than spy thriller. Part 1 did justice to story, Part 2 did justice to government. The high scenes were top notch but film can be better. ⭐⭐⭐⭐1/2

Dhurandhar: The Revenge picks up the story of Hamza, aka, Jaskirat Singh Rangi (Ranveer Singh), from where it ended in the first film. The movies follow an Indian spy who has been sent to Pakistan for Operation Dhurandhar, mainly to dismantle the internal networks in Karachi’s Lyari. Lyari is shown as the criminal underbelly of Pakistan responsible for major terrorist attacks in India.
The first film, Dhurandhar, which released in December 2025, earned over Rs 1300 crore globally, shattering multiple box office records. The advance booking for its sequel is also showing immense potential to be a major blockbuster.
The sequel also stars R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Danish Pandor, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. It will arrive in cinemas on March 19, 2026. It will also have a few paid preview shows on the evening of March 18.
