Amal Clooney is ushering in autumn with the romantic, wispy hairdo in the cozy toasted-almond hue that we’re all about to covet.
Hair stylist Dimitris Giannetos shared some images and short clips of Amal’s new cut and color on Instagram, calling the dark, side-parted style, with curved-in ends and warm highlights, a “bubble blowout.”
He also spoke to Vogue about the chop: “I cut off between six and eight inches of hair,” he said. “Amal has never had a haircut like this before.”
The human rights barrister debuted the new power cut today, as she prepared to make a big announcement about her and husband George Clooney’s Clooney Foundation for Justice.
She showed off the new hair while in a navy tea dress with short puff sleeves and sophisticated round buttons running down the middle.
Amal’s hair transformation came just a few days after she stepped out in her signature long mermaid waves to attend the Albie Awards in London with George. Then, the mom of two was fantastic in a draped chocolate gown from Versace with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a long train. She matched the dress with a pair of brown, mesh peep-toe heels, and accessorized with gold chandelier earrings, a golden clutch, and shimmering bronze makeup. Her golden-brown hair, styled down in glamorous waves, perfectly complemented her ensemble.
Amal also flaunted her long hair days earlier, when she slipped into a rouge, flower-covered minidress to support George at the New York Film Festival.
We’ll miss the mermaid waves, but this new chop is the picture of elegance, like Amal herself.
