Amanda Janson

Powerhouse worship leader and songwriter Amanda Janson is ushering listeners into a season of bold transparency and healing with her latest releases, “Sinner to Saint” and “No Dark Corners.” Marking her Pure Mosaic Records debut, Janson’s music radiates the grace and freedom she has found in Christ-transforming seasons of shame, struggle, and surrender into anthems of redemption. With rich, emotive vocals and deeply personal lyrics, she testifies to a God who meets us in the hidden places and calls us His own. “These songs are my testimony,” Janson shares. “They’re about letting His light touch the parts of our hearts we’ve tried to hide and realizing He’s been writing beauty from the brokenness all along.”

Q: Your new song “No Dark Corners” is such a powerful declaration of God’s sovereignty. Can you share more about the specific moment or revelation that inspired the song’s message?

Thank you! “No Dark Corners” was born out of a season where I was hiding a lot from God- things like shame, sin and depression. But even in that place, He kept pressing in, gently exposing the things I was trying to cover so He could begin to heal me. This song became my testimony and now it’s an invitation for others to let Him into those hidden places too.

Q: You’ve described “Sinner to Saint” as being birthed out of a season of wrestling with shame and old labels. How did that season shape not only your songwriting but also your personal walk with God?

That season felt like being torn between who I used to be and who God was calling me to become. I was wrestling with shame and battling with the echoes of old names that didn’t fit anymore. But in that tension, God was patient. He kept reminding me, “You’re not your past, you’re Mine.” So writing “Sinner to Saint” was really me documenting the transformation. The slow, holy undoing of who I thought I was and the awakening to who I really am in Him-washed clean, child of God.

Q: Your music often weaves together personal testimony and worship. How do you approach songwriting in a way that both shares your story and invites listeners into their own encounter with God?

I see songwriting as both testimony and invitation. Each lyrical line is a moment where God has met me in the pain, in the healing, in the surrender. But I never want to stop there. My prayer is always, “Lord, use this to meet someone else right where they are.” So when I write, I’m thinking about creating space, a space for people to not just hear my words but to have their own encounter with His presence.

Q: This is your first release with Pure Mosaic Records. What drew you to partner with the label, and how has that collaboration helped you grow as an artist and worship leader?

What I love about Pure Mosaic is that their mission aligns so much with mine. It’s all about Jesus and having a pure heart. From day one they’ve championed the idea that worship isn’t just a genre, it’s a lifestyle. Partnering with them has sharpened me as both an artist and a worship leader. They’ve pushed me to dig deeper, to trust God with my story and to write songs that carry His presence and truth.

Q: In terms of more new music, what can listeners be anticipating?

This next wave of music continues the conversation. It’s about what happens after the exposure and His light comes in. It’s about walking out freedom, rediscovering joy, and learning to live unashamed. The songs feel like journal entries from that process. These are songs that are tender, bold, and rooted in HIS truth. I’m really excited for people to experience that journey with me and start or continue a journey of their own.

Q: Since your debut single, “In the Name of Jesus,” you’ve gained a strong following. Looking ahead, what do you hope listeners take away from this new season of your ministry and music?

My heart for this new season is revival, not just in rooms, but in hearts. I want these songs to stir a hunger for the presence of God; to remind people that His light still breaks through their darkest moments, and His grace still changes EVERYTHING. His love is still enough. This isn’t just music to me but a ministry. It’s an altar I get to build, and I just want every listener to meet Him there.
