AMC Theatres on Friday, Sept. 19, announced that tickets for “Party of a Showgirl,” featuring Taylor Swift, have gone on sale.
Fans can experience Taylor Swift’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl” at AMC theaters worldwide beginning Friday, Oct. 3, through Sunday, Oct. 5. Emagine and other theater chains, including Cinemark, Phoenix, MJR, GQT and Regal, also are showcasing the movie.
Starting on Oct. 3, the same day her new album “The Life of a Showgirl” drops, “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl” will hit movie screens in thousands of theaters across the country and will feature the premiere of the first music video from the new album, “The Fate of Ophelia.” All tickets are $12.
The 89-minute “party” will run from Friday through Sunday at all 540 AMC Theatres locations, along with thousands of non-AMC places. Screenings will begin simultaneously at all theaters at 3 p.m. ET on Oct. 3.
Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl,” is her 12th studio album with 12 tracks with one song featuring Sabrina Carpenter.
Movie theaters aren’t the only ones getting into the Taylor Swift release party spirit. Target will host a midnight release for the new album as well.
“Looks like it’s time to brush off that ‘Eras Tour’ outfit or orange cardigan… Tickets are on sale now. Dancing is optional but very much encouraged,” Taylor Swift said on Instagram.

At $12, “Party of a Showgirl” tickets may be purchased online, via AMC’s website. Here’s what to know ahead of your purchase, according to AMC:
The event will begin at showtime and will not include trailers.
Tickets are non-refundable.
Tickets are sold on a first come, first-served basis.
This release party experience is excluded from A-List reservations.
No passes, exchange tickets, or discount tickets may be used.
Activated AMC Stubs rewards cannot currently be applied to ticket purchases. However, eligible purchases will earn AMC Stubs points.
There may be delays in receiving your email receipt or viewing your ticket(s) in My AMC.
Due to a high volume of traffic fans may see a delay in AMC’s website while trying to purchase a ticket.
“We have proactively created this queue for all visitors. When it is your turn, you will have 10 minutes to begin your Taylor Swift ‘The Official Release Party of a Showgirl’ ticket purchase or other online visit,” said AMC.
