EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — We go to AMC Theatres to laugh, to cry, to care… and now, doing all that is going to cost more for AMC Stubs A-Listers.
AMC Theatres is raising its AMC Stubs A-List membership by $2, to $29.99 starting July 2026, citing rising operating costs.
In an email to members notifying them of the price hike, the movie theater chain said that even thought it had not advised movie goers “of a price increase in A-List for more than a year, our costs of operating our theatres are rising.”
“Even with this necessary price adjustment, A-List continues to offer you exceptional value, often costing only the price of seeing about one to two movies per month, especially when you enjoy premium formats or reserve tickets online. It really is now — and will continue to be — a terrific bargain,” the company said in its email.
AMC Stub A-Listers will still be able to watch up to four movies a week, which is about 16 movies a month. That includes any format, like IMAX. Membership will also still include free online ticket reservations with waived fees, priority lane access, free size upgrades on popcorn and fountain drinks, and perks like a $5 reward for every $50 spent.
AMC Theatres last increased the price of its AMC Stubs A-List last year.
The new price increase comes as movie lovers gear up for big releases like “The Odyssey,” “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” “Digger,” “The Hunger Games: Sunrise of the Reaping,” “Dune Part Three” and “Avengers: Doomsday.”
