BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The 607 Rock for Hope: Ozzy Osbourne tribute and Parkinson’s benefit is gearing up to pay tribute to the legendary rockstar.
On October 18th, 607 Rock for Hope: Ozzy Osbourne tribute and Parkinson’s benefit will be taking place at Touch of Texas. The benefit features 14 bands including Junkyard Heights, Heavy Delish, and Forgotten Sun.
Local musician Kevin Hamm founded the benefit along with Mike Malinovsky to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Ozzy Osbourne. Osbourne passed away on July 22nd, after battling Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 76. Osbourne was known for being the front man for heavy metal band Black Sabbath as well as his own solo career.
607 Rock for Hope is working directly with the Parkinson’s Foundation, in which proceeds will be going towards Parkinson’s research.
Along with live music attendees can enjoy refreshments and a limited food menu from Touch of Texas, basket raffles, and more. Entry to the benefit is $10 and benefit t-shirts will also be available for $25. Doors open at 12 PM with the first band scheduled to take the stage at 2 PM.
