Things have not been going well for the former prince Andrew. And some would argue it’s been a long time coming. Years after the BBC interview where he defended his connections with Epstein, Andrew has now been stripped of his titles and forced to vacate his lavish home at Royal Lodge. Not just that, he was recently arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office, and the investigation has expanded to include sex crimes.
Andrew has mostly stayed out of the public eye in the last few months, but reportedly, he’s got a plan. And allegedly, he’s anything but pleased about how he’s been pushed aside.

The Mirror is reporting that Andrew is now relying on his daughters to stay relevant, clinging to the fact that King Charles is known to be fond of them. Recent reports on royal residences even revealed that the two hold royal homes, and are not even paying rent for them. Instead, King Charles is picking up the bill.
Both Beatrice and Eugenie attended the wedding of cousin Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling, and did come through the back door. Instead, they and their respective husbands attended the wedding as if nothing had ever happened, without any attempt to avoid photographers.
A recent report from the Mail claimed that Andrew was the mastermind behind the “gesture of defiance” and that he urged them to go and “hold their heads high.”
Royal historian Andrew Lownie told the Mirror that Andrew would have “absolutely” encouraged them, adding: “He doesn’t think they’ve done anything wrong”. Lownie added that Andrew would have wanted his daughters to show that they are “fighters” and “princesses of blood” who “should be treated properly”.
“I think Eugenie and Beatrice feel the same,” Lownie added. “They just take it as natural that they should be able to support Saudi businesses and be paid to attend events. That’s what they’ve done all their lives, and they don’t see why that should change.
“They’re not seeming too affected by this,” he added. “I think most people would go quietly under a stone and let the whole kind of crisis pass when they just seem to be embracing it.”
And the historian believes Andrew might be looking for revenge. “It would certainly fit with his character. I think he feels that he’s been thrown to the wolves and in defence of his mother who he also thinks has been thrown under the bus.
“So there’s possibly danger. He’s always been very loyal to the institution, but he didn’t like Camilla. He was rude about Kate. Anyone who’s rumbled him, he doesn’t like. I think it’s only two allies at the moment are Edward and Anne.”
An insider told Closer about Andrew, “Make no mistake, this is a man who’s hell bent on revenge and with nothing much left to lose. As such, he’s become the epitome of a nightmare for the royal family as a whole and boy don’t they know it.”
They added, “Andrew is absolutely seething and has convinced himself that Charles is deliberately trying to erase him and the entire York branch of the family. He’s furious about the way he’s being treated and has no intention of backing down quietly. He refuses to take even a shred of accountability and claims the way he’s been treated is a disgrace.”
