A new partnership bringing together Madbridge Commercial Investment, an Emirati investment company, and Animotion Media Group, the global studio behind animated brands The Fixies, Tina & Tony, Finnick and BabyRiki, aims to capitalize on Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.’s growing profile in the global creative economy by establishing a regional entertainment hub. The project’s pioneers say it will bring international-quality creative production to the MENA region.

The goal is to establish a fully integrated entertainment ecosystem spanning animation, live action, digital channels and local distribution platforms. The project will be based at Abu Dhabi’s Creative Hub and focus on producing content that resonates with audiences across the Middle East and North Africa while achieving global reach.

Alongside its established animation brands, Animotion is preparing to launch a new slate of live-action series targeting children and teens. The partnership aligns with Abu Dhabi’s strategy to strengthen its creative economy and family entertainment sector. It also boosts Madbridge’s investment in sectors that combine long-term economic growth with cultural value, while reinforcing Animotion’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the region.

“Our partnership with Animotion reflects our commitment to investing in industries that combine creativity, technology, and impact,” said Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Chief Executive Officer of Madbridge Commercial Investment. “Abu Dhabi offers the ideal ecosystem to develop world-class entertainment for regional and international audiences.”

Julia Nikolaeva, General Manager of Animotion Media Group, commented, “Together with Madbridge, we are building a regional creative hub capable of developing content that speaks to MENA audiences and travels the world.”

Animotion’s latest CG-animated feature film, Finnick 2, kicks off its theatrical rollout this fall.
