On Friday, Anne Hathaway revealed she is expecting her third child with her husband, Adam Shulman, in a new Instagram post. In the video the star shared, she is wearing a white long-sleeve top and a matching floor-length skirt. She enters the frame with her body covered and then puts her arms down to reveal her growing pregnancy, smiling at the camera then scampering off.
In the caption, Hathaway wrote, “x Baby, I’m yours x.”
Shulman and Hathaway welcomed their first son, Jonathan Rosebank Shulman, in March 2016. Hathaway praised Shulman’s parenting skills a few months later while talking to Entertainment Tonight.
“As was to be expected, he is spectacular,” she shared.
In 2019, she made another pregnancy announcement on Instagram, writing, “It’s not for a movie… #2.”
She also hinted at fertility struggles, writing, “All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love.”
Their second son, Jack, was born that November.
During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in 2020, Hathaway was asked about more children.
“Yeah, I don’t know,” she said. “I don’t know. Like, some minutes I’m like, ‘Yes, absolutely,’ and some minutes I’m like, ‘The world scares me too much,’ and I think I’ve got two healthy ones and that feels really great. So I don’t really know yet.”
The couple married in 2012, when Hathaway was 29 years old, though they met in 2008. She told Harper’s Bazaar UK in its February 2013 cover story that she told a mutual friend, “I’m going to marry that man. I think he thought I was a little nuts, which I am a bit, but I’m also nice.”
