Key Points
There’s a surprise cameo in the second season of The Four Seasons.
In a flashback episode, Claude and Danny re-home their dog with another couple in upstate New York.
And that couple looks a lot like a couple from Girls5Eva.
This article contains spoilers for season 2, episode 6 of The Four Seasons, “Little Thanksgiving.”
Girls5Eva might’ve been canceled, but executive producer Tina Fey still managed to give one of its couples a happy ending… sort of.
In addition to being an EP on Girls5Eva, Fey is the co-creator and one of the stars of The Four Seasons, which just dropped its second season on Netflix. In its sixth episode, the series flashes back to a Thanksgiving that the group of friends spent together during the COVID-19 quarantine. In the episode, Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude (Marco Calvani) are struggling with their (very expensive) dog, Patrizia.
Nick (Steve Carell) suggests that the couple re-home Patrizia, saying, “There’s a couple right down the road here, huge animal rescue people.” And although Nick later refers to one of the women as “Dana,” the scene winks at another couple.

When Danny goes out looking for Patrizia — he thinks she ran away — he sees the dog with its new owners, who look a lot like Girls5Eva couple Gloria and Caroline, played by Paula Pell and Janine Brito, respectively. And let’s not forget: Gloria was always nurturing some animal, so it would make sense that she’d be living upstate and rescuing animals with the woman she loves.

Despite being rescued by Netflix for a third season, Girls5Eva was canceled in 2024, so this is likely the closest fans will get to a little closure. All we can hope is that they will be together 5eva!
The Four Seasons is now streaming on Netflix.
