LITTLE ROCK, AR (KATV) — This weekend, Argenta Plaza will transform into a bustling hub of local entrepreneurship as the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce hosts its inaugural “Shop Small” pop-up market.
The event, designed to celebrate and support local businesses, promises a delightful day out for the entire family.
“We really want to build a platform for small business,” said Isaac Morales, chair of the Minority Business Accelerator Committee.
“What a better space for them to be in Argenta Plaza, where they get a bigger exposure.”
The event, which runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, is free to attend and will feature a variety of vendors offering everything from sweet treats and lemonade to local jewelry and artwork.
“There’s something for everyone there,” said MBA Director of Communications, Reynardo Marks.
The pop-up market is more than just a shopping opportunity; it’s a chance to uplift small and minority-owned businesses in North Little Rock and surrounding areas.
“We think that it’s going to have a significant impact on the community,” said Marks.
“We’re essentially there to uplift those businesses and fuel some economic growth.”
In addition to shopping, attendees can enjoy live music and other activities happening around Argenta Plaza.
The event is a collaboration with local partners, including the city of North Little Rock, the tourism office, and the Argenta Downtown Council.
For those interested in getting more involved, the minority business accelerator has a presence on Facebook and through the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce’s website.
Organizers are eager to welcome new members and continue building resources and partnerships for the community.
So, grab your family and head to Argenta Plaza this Saturday for a day of shopping, music, and community spirit.
