During a recent episode of the “Shut Up Evan” podcast, Grande, who is currently promoting the second “Wicked” film, opened up about being welcomed into the music industry by some of its biggest names.
“I’m very lucky that my idols have been very kind to me,” she said before recalling a specific interaction with Madonna, who the “Victorious” star said was “one of the first people to reach out and, like, give me a warm welcome.”
The Broadway star turned TV personality described the moment as “just really cool,” adding that she was quite “overwhelmed” by the experience because of her “love” for her.

Elsewhere in the interview, Grande gave a shoutout to other major artists for showing her so much love during her early years in the spotlight, including Mariah Carey and Beyoncé.
Grande explained the time she met Beyoncé, revealing the “Single Ladies” singer “had me come visit a music video she was shooting, and I was just there in the corner.”
“She invited me to set to visit her, and she just was being kind — she gave me a little bit of advice, and, you know, I asked, but she was so kind,” Grande said before sharing how impactful it was for her that she had people to learn from.
“But yeah, I feel like I had people I really looked up to embrace me,” she said. “It made me feel safe.”
Grande Previously Made Headlines Over Coachella Beef With Beyoncé

This isn’t the first time Grande’s name has been linked to Beyoncé’s. According to a previous report from The Blast, Grande and Beyoncé were in the headlines in April 2019 after reports surfaced claiming that the “7 Rings” singer was paid twice as much as Beyoncé for their Coachella performances.
However, sources close to the massive music festival told The Blast exclusively that the ladies were paid the exact same and that their contracts were “structured exactly the same way.”
Beyoncé became the first Black woman to headline Coachella, later leading to the release of her highly acclaimed documentary and live album, “HOMECOMING.”
The two-hour electrifying show featured performances from Jay-Z, J Balvin, Destiny’s Child, and Solange. Grande’s set, on the other hand, featured special appearances from Nicki Minaj and *NSYNC.

And Grande isn’t the only star reflecting on a meaningful experience with music royalty. Miley Cyrus previously boasted about her relationship with Beyoncé, which was strengthened by their collaboration on the Texas native’s country album, “Cowboy Carter.”
Cyrus also discussed a flashy gift she received from Beyoncé while they were creating their Grammy-winning hit, “II MOST WANTED,” revealing she often tries to use it to her advantage.
“She gave me a bracelet that I never take off,” Cyrus said. “And trust me, I know how to use it when I need to,” she added. “If someone tells me I was wrong or did this or that wrong, I say, ‘Well, you know what? It doesn’t matter. Beyoncé gave me this bracelet, look!'”
Following the release of their 2024 single, Cyrus got candid about the meaning behind their song, admitting she wrote it years before it landed in Beyoncé’s hands. However, when the “RENAISANCE” singer came calling, she knew her track about friendship was the one because it “really encompasses our relationship.”
“I told her, ‘We don’t have to get country; we are country. We’ve been country,’” Cyrus explained. “I said ‘You know, between you being from Texas and me being from Tennessee, so much of us is going to be in this song.’ Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyoncé was a dream come true.”

Cyrus echoed that sentiment in another interview, according to The Blast, implying she was deeply impacted by witnessing the singer’s work ethic firsthand.
“… getting to see her show live, it feels like a moment of where, you know, you talk to someone about getting to see, you know, Prince or someone that’s the best of the best, Michael Jackson,” she said.
“I think that she deserves to kind of have this queen essence surrounding her constantly, just because I do think it’s so fluid between both of her worlds and between the persona and personally, it’s always been really well integrated,” Cyrus added. “It feels like who she is on stage is an elevated, kind of eccentric version of who she is day to day.”
