Art Room returns at the library

ASTORIA—The Art Room, free drop in K-12 art programs from Astoria Visual Arts (AVA) will return to the Astoria Public Library starting March 14. Sessions will be held on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month except for April 11. Instead, the April 11 class will be held on April 4. Art Room will take place in the new Flag Room at the library, 450 10th Street.

Two age-specific sessions will be offered on each program day:
—2 p.m. to 3 p.m. will be the K-5 session with open ended art making, exploration and creative play.
—Noon to 1 p.m. will be the middle school session (grades five through twelve) and will be a dedicated creative space, guided projects and opportunities to build skills and confidence through art.
The K-5 program is drop-in, but registration is encouraged for the middle and high school sessions to help with planning and materials. Register and find more information at: astoriavisualarts.org
