With the second season recently ending, Frieren has proven to be quite the fascinating journey, an anime less focused on combat (though combat is very much still present) and more about the emotional journey of our titular protagonist. We meet plenty of quirky fantasy characters on the way (especially in the 1st Class Mage Exam Arc), but do they hold up in this fascinating fantasy world, or do some lean a bit too modern for Lily’s tastes?
