When a looming volcanic eruption threatens to destroy Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save their home. Basalt artist talk and community clay activation, May 8
The Artist Talk and Community Clay Activation for “Textures of Topography” will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. May 8 during the opening reception of Savanna LaBauve’s solo exhibition “Echoes” at the Art Base in Basalt. The public can make barefoot impressions in clay, layering marks to those already there. Over the course of the evening, these layers will overlap and change one another. Kevin Morby will take the stage at 8 p.m. May 13 at Belly Up Aspen. Two days later, he releases his eighth studio album, “Little Wide Open,” on May 15, via Dead Oceans. It’s produced by Aaron Dessner at Long Pond, who is also known for producing albums for Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Gracie Abrams, according to the Belly Up Aspen website.
