Bangladeshi singer-songwriter Arzeen released a new track that blends indie pop and folk influences, continuing his effort to connect global sounds with his Bengali musical roots. The song’s audio version was released on January 21, 2026, followed by the official music video on February 27.
Written, composed, and performed by Arzeen himself, the track showcases his signature storytelling style, pairing introspective lyrics with a contemporary indie-pop sound. The music was produced by Abrar Fahim and Emmanuel Ventura-Cruess, bringing together organic folk textures and modern production elements.
The music video, which stars Arzeen alongside Humaira Snigdha, presents a unique narrative concept imagined by the artist himself. The story follows a young couple navigating the challenges of a long-distance relationship. Because of his demanding schedule, the boyfriend sends a humanoid robot, portrayed by Arzeen, to act as an emotional companion for his girlfriend. The robot is controlled through a remote device that regulates its emotional capacity.
As the girlfriend gradually increases the robot’s emotional level, it begins to display increasingly human-like behavior and sensitivity. Over time, a complex emotional bond develops between them. When the boyfriend eventually returns to reunite with her, the robot—now fully humanized—experiences love, jealousy, and inner conflict for the very first time, creating an unexpected emotional triangle.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Arzeen has been steadily building an international presence with his fusion of indie folk, pop, and electronic elements grounded in Bengali musical sensibilities. His self-titled debut album received strong critical acclaim, particularly for the track “Bondhu Bajao Sur.”
His earlier single “Prem De” also gained widespread media attention and was featured on BBC Asian Network. Meanwhile, his viral track “Kalakala” helped expand his audience significantly, leading to live performances and festival appearances across the United States and beyond.
Arzeen’s music has also crossed into cinema, with one of his songs featured in the Bengali blockbuster Priyotoma. In addition to his solo work, the artist is currently collaborating with musicians from India and the United States on a new cross-cultural project.
