1. New World Center

The New World Center is perfectly located adjacent is Miami Beach SoundScape park in the heart of South Beach. 2. Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center

The James L Knight Concert has the type of exceptional acoustic clarity which makes listening to classic music sound more atmospheric than normal. The grand hall is fully insulated from outside sound and features an adjustable acoustic system, perfectly tuned for symphonies, chamber music, and recitals. The Cleveland Orchestra, one of the ‘Big Five’ orchestras, has made the concert hall its winter home hosting a series of different concerts in the space, since it first opened in 2006.

3. Scottish Rite Temple MIA

Completed in 1923, Scottish Rite Temple MIA is a striking blend of Egyptian and classical styles whose columned façade and generous auditorium provide a resonant, atmospheric setting for orchestral and chamber works. Candlelight concerts here showcase classical repertoire in an intimate, historic Downtown Miami venue, just a short walk from major cultural sites and well connected by public transport.

4. Trinity Episcopal Cathedral 

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is a beautiful, historic church whose Romanesque-Byzantine architecture and soaring vaulted ceiling give classical music a rich, resonant glow. Its magnificent 1920s Skinner pipe organ adds depth and character to everything from sacred works to orchestral transcriptions, making the space feel tailor-made for classical repertoire. With regular classical and sacred performances from ‘Orchestra Miami’, aswell as intimate Candlelight concerts dedicated to composers like Bach, it offers one of Miami’s most atmospheric settings for live classical music.

1. New World Symphony

The New World Symphony is structured as an orchestral academy made up of young professional musicians who are receiving training for future leadership roles. It’s the only full-time orchestra academy in the States. The New World Symphony presents everything from full-orchestra concerts and chamber music to contemporary works, as well as film-score nights like Hollywood or John Williams, family concerts, and free outdoor WALLCAST performances.

2. Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO)

Miami Symphony Orchestra, or MISO for short, is the official orchestra for the City of Miami. It consists of 90 professional musicians selected from around the world, and is led by Eduardo Marturet, the Venezuelan composer and esteemed conductor. His performances showcase everything from grand symphonic programs to themed events like the upcoming Latin American Soundscapes, highlighting Latin American repertoire and premieres by regional composers.

3. Orchestra Miami

Orchestra Miami really feels like “Miami’s own” orchestra, made up of top-tier professional musicians who all live in South Florida. It’s the kind of group that brings classical music to where people are, with free, family-friendly events like its Beethoven on the Beach New Year’s celebration right on the shore. You’ll also often find them at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for “Saturdays at Trinity,” where they lean into fresher, more adventurous programs instead of just the usual classics.

4. South Florida Symphony Orchestra

Born in Key West, the South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO) is a regional powerhouse led by Maestra Sebrina María Alfonso. It carries a genuine community spirit, known for its commitment to music education and its “Juxtapositions” Masterworks series. Beyond classical masterworks, the SFSO keeps things fresh by performing live-to-film scores and holiday pops, ensuring their high-caliber artistry feels accessible and vibrant for everyone across South Florida.

1. Miami Beach Classical Music Festival

The Miami Beach Classical Music Festival is a summer highlight, usually kicking off in late June. It’s an eight-week celebration spotlighting elite young musicians chosen for a prestigious training program. 2. Candlelight concert series

3. Beethoven on the Beach

If you’re looking for a quintessential local experience, Orchestra Miami’s Beethoven on the Beach is a must. This year, Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi leads 36 musicians in a vibrant program featuring Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and Louise Farrenc’s Overture No. 1, with a standout performance by husband-and-wife duo Karen Lord-Powell and Brian Powell.
