Baltimore area real estate agent Chantre Phillips and her clients will appear on the popular cable TV show, “House Hunters”, on Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern.
The episode will include Phillips guiding Bernardo and Nia Adams on their search for a new home for their blended family of 7 in Baltimore.
“Viewers should expect a family who comes from two different backgrounds trying to find the perfect home that goes well with their blended family as first-time buyers,” Phillips told The Baltimore Sun.
This marks Phillips’ television debut. She described the experience as both joyful and eye-opening, offering her a new appreciation for the entertainment industry.
“I have a whole new profound respect for anybody in the entertainment industry,” she said.
HGTV first approached Phillips in April 2024 with the opportunity, and she was honored but also nervous that all eyes would be on her during the airing.
“America will be watching me navigate the family to their dream home, so the pressure was there,” she said.
Phillips worked with the Adams family for six months before they found their home, which will be revealed in the episode. The family found her on Instagram and knew immediately they wanted to work with her, Phillips noted.
She added that viewers will see not only the excitement of home buying but also how the family’s diverse backgrounds shaped their search.
“When people see the episode, they will see the excitement in them and also the difference in cultures they have”, Phillips said
While the family is keeping their final choice a secret until the episode airs, fans can expect the familiar House Hunters format: a tour of three homes followed by a big reveal. According to WMAR-2 News, the Adams family is now happily settled and credit Phillips with finding their perfect home.
