Banana Ball is back in Charlotte, bringing its fast-paced, fan-focused version of baseball to Truist Field for three nights beginning Thursday.
The Firefighters and Texas Tailgaters will face off June 4-6 as part of the Banana Ball World Tour and the inaugural season of the Banana Ball Championship League. All three games are scheduled for 7 p.m.

Created by the Savannah Bananas, Banana Ball was designed to put entertainment at the center of the game.
It’s a two-hour game with 11 unique rules aimed at keeping the action moving, including no walks, a point-per-inning scoring system and a rule that allows fans to record an out by catching a foul ball.
Players are known for dancing on the field, interacting with fans and turning each game into a high-energy show that blends baseball and entertainment.

The Banana Ball Championship League launched in 2026 as the first professional Banana Ball league. The six-team league includes the Savannah Bananas, Party Animals, Firefighters, Texas Tailgaters, Loco Beach Coconuts and Indianapolis Clowns.

Charlotte has already proven to be a strong market for Banana Ball.
In June 2025, Banana Ball games at Bank of America Stadium drew massive crowds and generated an estimated $38.6 million in economic impact for the region, according to the Charlotte Sports Foundation.

Demand remains high this year, with all three games at Truist Field sold out.
With interest in the games continuing to grow, officials are also warning fans about fake tickets and unauthorized resale sites.
“If you do have tickets, get there early, have fun. Be there early to experience everything as soon as gates open and in their fan plaza,” said Miller Yoho, director of communications and marketing for the Charlotte Sports Foundation.

Yoho said events like Banana Ball help strengthen Charlotte’s reputation as a destination for major sporting events.
“Having these events just adds to the things we can do as Charlotteans and just brings more and more and elevates Charlotte as a sports city,” Yoho said.
For fans unable to attend in person, the games will be streamed live on the Firefighters’ YouTube channel.
