From this weekend, there will be fresh blood in the series, with a full list of 21 celebrities now in the public domain for the second run of the popular BBC show
The BBC has announced the full roster of 21 celebrities participating in the second series of Celebrity Traitors – and this year’s “big dogs” appear to be Jerry Hall and Miranda Hart, or possibly Michael Sheen and Richard E Grant.
The programme, filmed against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Highlands at Ardross Castle, begins production next week with the famous faces expected to arrive today.
Additional participants include University Challenge host Amol Rajan, The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey and comic James Acaster – not to be mistaken for Beautiful singer James Blunt, who is also entering the castle.
Then there’s comedy performer Joanne McNally and Joe Lycett, former Coronation Street favourite Julie Hesmondhalgh and social media creator King Henry.
Little Mix member Leigh-Anne Pinnock has joined alongside Love Island host Maya Jama, Industry star Myha’la and BBC science and mathematics expert Professor Hannah Fry.

Rob Beckett will be providing comedy moments along with his television partner Romesh Ranganathan, accompanied by former EastEnder Ross Kemp and My Mad Fat Diary performer Sharon Rooney plus musician and actor Sebastian Croft, reports the Mirror.
Once filming commences this weekend, the 20 participants will be divided into Traitors and Faithfuls, after extensive conversations with host Claudia Winkleman and production staff members.
From that moment forward, their objective will be to identify which amongst them are making nocturnal visits to the turret wearing the greed hooded cloaks – to determine which of the remaining group will be eliminated.
Rather than keeping any prize money for themselves, the celebrity participants will once again be donating all proceeds to their selected charities.
While filming is currently underway, the series isn’t anticipated to broadcast on BBC1 until autumn, as it did last year when personalities including Sir Stephen Fry, Alan Carr, Paloma Faith, Charlotte Church and Jonathan Ross participated.
It was ultimately won by Alan Carr who revealed himself as a Traitor in the closing moments, before breaking down in tears under the emotional pressure. That concluding scene has now been nominated for the TV Moment of the Year gong at the BAFTAs next weekend.
In recent months there has been considerable speculation about potential participants, with claims suggesting that Danny Dyer, Ruth Jones, Liam Gallagher, Cheryl Tweedy and Peter Crouch would be at the castle. Other incorrect suggestions included Alison Hammond and Louis Theroux.
The Celebrity Traitors will be coming to BBC One and BBC iPlayer later in 2026
