Beéle and Carla Morrison are joining their unique styles and vocals for their new “Arena” video. On Friday, the Colombian star revisited the Borondo favorite by releasing a sultry video alongside the Mexican vocalist.

“When I was about to write it, I felt it had something more… divine, a special energy,” said Beéle in a press statement. “The chorus is made up of two voices, two different phrases that, when sung together, merge into one. But if you separate them, each works as a chorus on its own. That was my intention: for the voices to converse as if from different spaces.”

Along with the video, Beéle also released an “A Capella” and “Instrumental” versions of the song for fans to stream. “It’s more than a balada,” Beéle said of the song. “It’s a poem. It’s a heartbeat. It’s where we’re meant to be — en la arena.”

The song ends with some romantic prose that ties the themes together: “I want to fall into you / And confess as I say / that your reflection in front of me / is the most beautiful thing now within me.”

“Arena” was originally one of the 26 songs featured on Beéle’s debut album, Borondo, which included songs such as “Mi Refe” with Ovy on the Drums, “Dios Me Oyó” with Marc Anthony, and “Frente Al Mar.” Since dropping the album, Beéle has joined Wisin, Piso 21, and Tini for musical collaborations.

Though Carla Morrison has not released a full album since 2022’s El Renacimiento, she joined Karol G on Mañana Será Bonito‘s title track, dueted with JP Saxe on “Anywhere,” and sang with Kany García on “Que Vuelva.” Morrison told Rolling Stone in 2023 that she would be taking a break before starting a new album.

“I feel that for people to connect with you, you can’t be doing everything at the same time,” she said at the time. “We are still the same basic normal human beings that need time and space. Van Gogh needed time, Michelangelo needed time. They didn’t multitask.”
