BENNINGTON – Aspiring performers of all ages are invited to show off their skills as auditions for Bennington County’s Got Talent open Thursday, Dec. 11. Interested participants have until Friday, Jan. 31, 2026 to submit an online audition through BenningtonBanner.com/GotTalent.
The audition process is simple and designed to welcome a wide range of talent. Applicants can submit a video of any length or resolution showcasing their abilities, whether it’s singing, dancing, comedy, playing instruments, or performing in special acts, solo or in groups.
“You don’t have to audition with the act you’re planning on doing during the live event,” said Susan Plaisance, Advertising Manager and one of the show’s producers. “Audition using a previously recorded video or take a new one so we get a sense of what you’ll do. We will reach out after Jan. 31 to confirm your participation, and you’ll have more time to decide what your act will be at the Live Show.”
Lauren Biasi, winner of Bennington County’s Got Talent 2025, encouraged aspiring performers to take part.
“Bennington’s Got Talent is such a fun experience,” she said. “To be up on stage along with other talented people from the area is rewarding on its own; winning was just a bonus. You’re never too young, or too old, to give it a try. Feed your inner star, share your talent, and have your moment to shine.”
Finalists will take part in the Live Show on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at the Monument Arts & Cultural Center. The show provides performers with a full professional experience, including running tech with lighting and sound professionals, assistance from stagehands, and day-of training on stage presence. Each act will receive feedback from judges, and an MC will host the evening. Performers will also enjoy the venue’s green room and the beautiful Monument Arts facilities. The live show will also feature a special performance by Lauren Biasi, winner of the 2025 competition.
The Live Show is a ticketed event, with tickets launching in early February. The audience will play an important role, serving as the “fifth vote” in addition to the judges’ scores. Performers will compete for a $1,000 grand prize and the chance to showcase their talents to the community both in-person and online.
