Some “Beautiful Things” come to an end. Singer Benson Boone and girlfriend Maggie Thurmon reportedly split after two years of dating.
Multiple outlets reported the news after talking to sources on Thursday, September 11, amid previous chatter that Benson, 23, and Maggie, 23, had gone their separate ways. Neither of the pair has publicly confirmed their breakup. However, they both unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The actress was last spotted at Benson’s Raleigh, North Carolina, stop of his American Heart World Tour on September 7.
Since then, Benson has displayed emotional behavior during his shows. Before singing his song “In The Stars” during his Nashville show on Tuesday, September 9, the artist gave a speech about relationships that brought him to tears.
“Sometimes people leave in life. Whether it’s the right thing or the wrong thing,” he began in a TikTok clip, before admitting how bad it “sucks.”
“But it’s OK. That’s life, and it happens. But as terrible as it is, there is always something or someone that can pull you out of it,” Benson continued as he started to noticeably get choked up. “And for me, I usually say writing this song helps me a lot. But singing this song tonight is going to help me a lot tonight.”
While trying to continue his message, the “Sugar Sweet” artist got emotional, and the crowd started cheering to help raise his spirits.
Fans rallied in the comments section of the post, with a handful of people admitting that they heard rumblings that Benson and Maggie had split.
“We have to be sensitive and make sure we’re not sharing information that isn’t confirmed. If it is true, we have to remember that there are 2 hearts broken that both people need our support and understanding, and we should definitely respect their privacy,” a fan wrote. “If that is the reason that he was emoting on the stage last night.”
Benson and Maggie went public with their relationship in March 2024. During their romance, the Atlanta native attended Benson’s high-profile performances and appearances at events including the 2025 Grammys and Saturday Night Live.
