MOCA and local arts nonprofit The Brick come together to put on a new exhibit called ‘Monuments,’ a fresh look at the hundreds of statues and shrines to the Confederacy that were toppled during the protests following the murder of George Floyd in 2020. LAist’s Adolfo Guzman-Lopez got a first look at the bigger-than-life-sized exhibit, which shows 10 of these monuments in a new context and a modern frame of reference.
