Bewitched child star Erin Murphy, 61, made a stunning appearance at a recent fan event, leaving fans calling for a reboot of the iconic ’60s comedy. Murphy—who, along with twin sister Diane, played Elizabeth Montgomery’s TV daughter Tabitha—starred on the beloved 1960s hit about the hijinks that ensue when a housewife is a mischievous witch. Murphy’s performance as the adorable next generation of nose-twitching witches made her a part of Hollywood lore during a golden age of TV. Now, fans want more of Murphy—and more Bewitched.
In a video shared to social media from the recent Hollywood Show fan event in Burbank, California, Murphy looks effortlessly beautiful, with her signature blonde hair now long. Gone are Tabitha’s blunt bangs and shoulder-length cut, but Murphy still bears a stunning resemblance to the nose-twitching toddler she portrayed so many years ago.
Fans loved seeing the child star all grown up, with one after the next commenting on her timeless beauty.
“Cute TV kid turned into beautiful woman,” wrote one fan. Another added, “Wow. Gorgeous.”
Fans Want a ‘Bewitched’ Reboot or Spinoff
Just seeing the grown-up Tabitha got fans thinking about a Bewitched remake—or a Tabitha-inspired spinoff. Despite the success of the 2005 Bewitched movie starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell, fans are calling to recapture the TV magic the original version created.
“Be great if she did a Bewitched remake,” suggested one fan. Another commented, “Would be great to see you in a spinoff.”
Did Erin Murphy Quit Acting?
The Bewitched TV series ran from 1964 to 1972, and Murphy admits she never watched the show because it aired past her bedtime. Following the show’s cancellation, Murphy returned to her life as a normal California kid, joining the Girl Scouts and becoming a cheerleader.
After raising her six kids, Murphy returned to acting in 2010 and has since appeared in various TV shows. She has also tried her hand as a reality TV host on hits like Craft Lab and Groomer Has It.
While Murphy told People she had no regrets about taking time off to raise her family, fans are loving seeing their favorite star back on the Hollywood scene. And while a 2024-announced Bewitched remake is seemingly stalled, fans are expressing a desire to see more of Erin Murphy. Maybe if they all get together and wiggle their noses, the Bewitched reboot will appear.
