Bill O’Reilly: Jimmy Kimmel’s job is to hate Trump
(NewsNation) — Author Bill O’Reilly feels Jimmy Kimmel’s sole purpose on television is to try to damage President Trump and the office of the presidency.
“He’s not a satirist. He’s there to hate President Trump. Disney knows that,” O’Reilly said while appearing on “Katie Pavlich Tonight.”
O’Reilly’s remarks follow First lady Melania Trump calling on ABC to fire Kimmel over a joke the late-night host made days before a gunman entered the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Cole Tomas Allen, 31, exchanged gunfire with law enforcement while rushing a Secret Service checkpoint outside the dinner.

Last week, Kimmel parodied the event, a traditional gathering that includes the White House press corps, celebrities and administration officials, typically featuring a comedic roast of the president and his appointees.
On his show, Kimmel joked that Melania Trump had the glow of an “expectant widow.”
“There’s no reason for Jimmy Kimmel to be on there. What’s the reason? I don’t understand. It’s not entertainment,” O’Reilly added.
“So my question is to Disney: Why are you doing this? For what? You’re not making money off Kimmel. Very few people watch him. You polarize a whole country. People take it out on you when your revenue goes down.”
Stephen A. Smith: WHCD shooting shows current political climate at its worst
This is not the first time Kimmel has faced ire from conservatives and attempts to remove his show from the air.
Following the shooting of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk, Kimmel’s show was suspended after comments in his monologue that angered conservatives.
The incident was the latest assassination attempt on President Trump, the third in the last two years.
