The eldest child of Beyoncé and Jay-Z was spotted yesterday evening at last night’s Angel Ball, held at Cipriani Wall Street. For the charity gala, which raises funds for Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, the 13-year-old wore a floor-length baby pink gown with feather sleeves and matching pink kitten heels. She accessorized with diamond jewelry and styled her light brown braids in a high ponytail. Though she didn’t walk the red carpet, she attended alongside her grandmother, Tina Knowles, who was honored with the Philanthropy Award.
Beyoncé shared a photo of her daughter and Knowles inside the event on Instagram, writing in a rare caption, “Congrats Mom on your philanthropy award at the Angel Ball tonight ❤️.”
After the gala, Knowles shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, writing, “Last night was magical. I received an award for Philanthropy from Gabrielle’s Angels Foundation. They raise funds for Cancer Research. Thank you to the amazing Drs that donate their time and brilliance to finding new treatments that can save lives, they also help families affected by Cancer.”
She continued, “I dedicated my award to my beautiful friend Debbie Cohen who we lost 3 years ago to Cancer she was such a warrior for research and i miss her so much. Please get your mammograms it saved my life. Please support organizations like Gabrielle’s Angels we need them ❤️.”
Earlier this year, Knowles revealed that she had previously been diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer.
At the time, she told People, “I struggled with whether I would share that journey [in her memoir Matriarch] because I’m very private. But I decided to share it because I think it’s a lot of lessons in it for other women. And I think as women, sometimes we get so busy and we get so wrapped up and running around, but you must go get your test. Because if I had not gotten my test early, I mean, I shudder to think what could have happened to me.”
Last night, Knowles was also joined by Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams, who presented her with her award. Knowles posted a clip of Williams on Instagram, writing, “My Beautiful Michelle My Belle @michellewilliams took her one night off from her hit play Death Becomes Her to come by and present me with an award Last Night ! I love her so much ❤️.”
