MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Comic Con headed to the Grand Strand this weekend and brought with it a crowd of celebrities and fans.
Boardwalk Comic Con featured celebrity guests such as voiceover artist Matthew Wood, actress Amanda Detmer, actor Eddie McClintock, actor and voiceover artist Sam Witwer, and pro wrestler Sean Legacy, in addition to vendors.

“It appeals to everyone. If there’s something in here that appeals to Dad, Mom, the kids, Grandparents,” said Steve Powell, Managing Partner for Boardwalk Comic Con LLC. “There’s a variety of different things that somebody’s a fan of. That’s the great thing about shows like this, it brings people together. Fandom unites people.”
This was the very first year the event has been held in Myrtle Beach, but it won’t be the last. They plan to do it here every year going forward.
