Bobbi Althoff posted a TikTok explaining how she received 100 units of Botox to help with her jaw issues and ended up with a “frozen,” painful face
The influencer said she received the treatment from a dentist, who charged her about $1,500 for the injection

Bobbi Althoff is opening up about the unwanted effects of a recent Botox procedure.
The influencer, 28, posted a TikTok on Sunday, Nov. 9, to explain how she went to the dentist intending to fix her jaw issues and ended up with limited face mobility. She said she’s always had pain in her face, and recently decided to book a consultation with a “TMJ specialist.”
After a CT scan of her head, Althoff’s doctor concluded she had a muscular problem, and the suggested treatment was Botox. As the podcaster shared at the beginning of her video, she had one bad previous experience with the injections a couple of years ago, so she was hesitant to follow the dentist’s recommendation.
She claims he reassured her that Botox would indeed help, specifying that he would be giving her 100 units. “I was like, ‘That feels like a lot … That won’t change my face at all?'” said Althoff. She ultimately signed a waiver and accepted the treatment, which she said cost about $1,500.
According to Althoff, she received 25 units of Botox in each of her temples. “My eyes look like they’re frozen,” she noted of the results. The “worst f—— part,” she continued, is her inability to form a smile.
“Something’s wrong. I don’t know what it is, but something’s not moving right. I can’t tell you what it is,” said the mom of two. She also said that it’s causing her to lisp when speaking, and she woke up with “the worst migraine” two days in a row.
After realizing the extent of her side effects, she contacted the dentist to inform him that talking and eating both cause her pain. However, Althoff said he dismissed her concerns as “nothing” and reminded her that the Botox would wear off in 10 days.

“I can feel all this tension just right in here. It just hurts,” said Althoff, gesturing around her cheekbones. “I’m afraid of what it’s gonna change in my face, but I can’t do anything. So for the next three months, I’m just gonna f—— look stupid.”
In her caption, she added, “#botchedbotox Actually so angry. My face is paralyzed, I can’t move it, and I could cry.”
