After local news reported that authorities responded to an alleged bomb scare at the amusement park — which features rides and attractions themed to Batman and other DC Comics characters — a park spokesperson tells Entertainment Weekly in a statement that the park’s opening was delayed until 12:30 p.m. PT.

“Safety is one of our top priorities,” the statement says. “Earlier today, the park underwent a thorough safety check by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and California Highway Patrol. The park appreciates the timely response by both law enforcement agencies and values the ongoing partnership and commitment to keeping our community and guests safe.”
While “the park is currently closed” as of press time, the park intends to open at 12:30 p.m. PT, with further inquiries being directed to the LAPD.
