Bon Jovi is returning to Forever.
The band led by its namesake frontman is revisiting its 2024 album by re-recording it with some notable friends.
Due on Oct. 24, Forever (Legendary Edition) will feature the band collaborating withJelly Roll, Bruce Springsteen, Lainey Wilson, Robbie Williams, Joe Elliott of Def Leppard and more, according to a post on Instagram showing the album’s cover art.
The new edition of the album will be previewed with the release of a new version of “Hollow Man,” featuring Springsteen, set for release Friday, Aug. 29, as well as the new track, “Red, White and Jersey.”
“Forever (Legendary Edition) dropping October 24th with a little help from our friends 🤘 But first…2 tracks this Friday: “Red, White & Jersey” and “Hollow Man (with @springsteen),” reads the caption to the Instagram post.
In a statement, Jon Bon Jovi explained that the band has opted to give the album another go because he was unable to tour and promote the album due to his vocal cord surgery.
“This album is more than just a collection of collaborations, it is an album borne out of necessity. My vocal cord surgery and subsequent rehab was a well-documented journey that played out while releasing Forever in June 2024,” the statement read, per Billboard. “Without the ability to tour or promote an album we were all very proud of, I decided to call on some friends to help me in my time of need. All are great singers, artists, and also just great people. The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit — a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends. I feel tremendous joy and gratitude releasing this album and I think it shows in the music. I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than ME, and that’s WE.”

Upon its original release last June, Forever debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart, but fell off the Billboard 200 a week later. The single “Legendary” peaked at No. 9 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
Several of the artists who collaborated with Bon Jovi on the album were on hand in February 2024 when Jon Bon Jovi was honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year.
Fans who commented on the band’s Instagram post were excited, for the most part, to hear the new versions of the songs.
“Can’t wait to hear the new song and collaborations,” wrote one. “Really looking forward to Walls of Jericho and Living in Paradise with Avril Lavigne.”
