As the legal battle over Château Miraval continues between Brad Pitt and ex-wife Angelina Jolie, a new email exchange shows that Pitt sued Jolie for $35 million in damages.
Pitt and Jolie separated in 2016 following 12 years together and two years of marriage. After a lengthy litigation, their divorce was finalized in December 2024.
Pitt and Jolie originally bought the French winery Château Miraval in 2011 for an estimated $60 million. Jolie has since been accused of breaching an agreement she and Pitt made that neither would sell their share of the property without the other’s permission. In 2022, Pitt filed a lawsuit claiming Jolie had sold her share of the Miraval without his approval.
