“Breaking Bad” actor Raymond Cruz found himself on the wrong side of the law Monday morning after being accused of blasting multiple women with a garden hose, according to reports.
The actor, 60, was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department and charged with misdemeanor battery. He was released on his own recognizance, or without bail, on Monday afternoon.
He is due back in court on Oct. 1. It is unclear if he has an attorney at this time.
Authorities told TMZ someone called the police accusing Cruz of assaulting their daughter.
A source familiar with the case told TMZ that the incident occurred outside Cruz’s home in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles where he was washing his car. Police say he asked the girl to move out of the way but when she didn’t, Cruz is accused of spraying her. The girl believes he did the act on purpose.
Since it’s a misdemeanor arrest, the case would be handled by the L.A. City Attorney.
With minor infractions, the City Attorney often defers prosecution and holds an office hearing, where the accused offender is warned and sometimes agrees to anger management courses in exchange for dropping the charges.
Cruz is best known for starring in the hit TV series “Breaking Bad” as Tuco Salamanca, a sadistic drug kingpin. He also appeared as Alejandro Perez on “Nip/Tuck” and as Paco on “My Name is Earl.”
