Brian Austin Green didn’t hold back while revealing that sex has “absolutely gotten better” for him with age.
During the Thursday, July 16, episode of iHeartRadio’s “I Do, Part 2” podcast, a fan called in to ask if he feels that “sex has gotten better with age or do you find yourself missing your 20s?”
“Sex has absolutely gotten better with age because I am way less concerned with how I feel in it and my own insecurities and I’m way more concerned about how she feels and that I’m doing things that she truly likes,” Green, 53, said. “And I’m also not doing things she doesn’t like.”
Green went on to admit that he feels like “there’s way more connection later on in life” before he shared intimate details about his romance with fiancée Sharna Burgess.
“I spend way more time staring into Sharna’s eyes now than I did when I was younger,” he said.
Green added that when he was younger, sex was just an “action.”
“You sort of did it until the action was done and you’re like, ‘Cool, let’s go make a grilled cheese sandwich or something now,’” he continued.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said that “sex was much more about how the action was perceived” when he was younger, recalling that he would watch porn and wanted to come off as “cool” as the adult actors did.
“You’re trying to do all the things and you sort of, like, you complicate the whole situation,” he said.
Green added that he now views sex in a “pretty simple” way. “I am with my fiancée because I love being with my fiancée and I love making her feel amazing and vice versa,” he shared. “So we try and do that as often as we can, which isn’t as often as we want because we have kids.”
He also said that he feels his “connection has just changed a lot more” as he’s gotten older. “Sex was way more sort of a sport thing when I was younger,” he said. “Sex now is a connection thing. It’s one more thing that we can do to feel connected.”
Green and Burgess, 41, began dating in late 2020, and they made their relationship Instagram official in January 2021. The couple welcomed their son, Zane, in June 2022 before they took a major step in their relationship and got engaged in September 2023.
Green shared the personal insight into his sex life after he declared that there’s complete trust in his and Burgess’ relationship.
“To me a healthy relationship, everything’s open. Sharna can go through my phone. She can go through my emails. She can go through absolutely everything that I have,” he said during the Saturday, July 11, episode of the “I Do, Part 2” podcast. “I don’t hide any of it and I love the feeling of her being able to do that and know that she’s not gonna find anything that’s gonna upset her.”
