Gabrielle Union sent fans into major nostalgia after taking a trip down memory lane to celebrate the anniversary of Bring It On.

The actress reflected on the movie’s lasting legacy, thanking audiences for keeping its spirit alive.

In an Instagram post, Union expressed how it still feels unreal that it has been 25 years since the movie was officially released.

“I cannot believe… 25 years. That’s a quarter of a century since Bring It On came out,” she said in the video.

Moreover, she recalled the fun times during the filming, reminiscing about the laughter, energy and bond shared on set.

“We just thought we were having fun in San Diego, making a movie about cheerleaders. But we made an instant classic about so much more,” the actress added. She also noted that the cultural and political message is still “resonating” to this day.

Besides her statement, the 52-year-old actress penned a heartfelt message to fans.

“25 years later and the spirit lives on! Twenty-five years later and this film is still bringing it and that’s all thanks to each and every one of you,” she wrote. “Back then, I never would’ve imagined stepping into the East Compton Clover uniform would bring so many blessings. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving. All I can say is: keep bringing it, because we’ll forever be here for it.”

Union ended her message with a sweet tribute to her late co-star Natina Reed, who played the role of Clover cheerleader Jenelope.

“Much love always, and to our forever Clover, Natina Reed.”

The comments section was filled with celebratory reactions from fans and followers.

“Forever classic. Happy 25 years,” singer-songwriter Leslie Grace commented.

Meanwhile, fellow actress Tia Mowry sent multiple heart emojis signaling her appreciation and connection to the movie.

As for fans, they are calling Bring It On “iconic” for its heavy influence on pop culture.

“It’ll forever be ICONIC! Go Clovers!” a user said.

“ICONIC movie of our generation,” a fan mentioned.

Another echoed the same, noting, “You all made a Classic!”

“This movie raised me!! Thank you!!” a follower remarked.

Helmed by Yes Man and Ant-Man director Peyton Reed, the teen movie was officially released on August 25. Joining Dwyane Wade’s wife as lead stars were Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku.

The movie catapulted Union’s career as she played the antagonist, Isis, the cheer captain of the Clovers cheer squad at East Compton High.
