Brittany Cartwright is sharing an update on her new romance with Brandon Hanson.
The Valley star, 36, told TMZ in an interview published on Tuesday, September 9, that she and Hanson are taking it slow with their relationship and haven’t yet put a label on things.
“We’re not technically boyfriend and girlfriend just yet,” Brittany said.
According to Brittany, she and Hanson go way back, having met back in her home state of Kentucky.
“We’ve known each other for like 15 years. I met him back in Kentucky a long time ago,” she shared.
“He’s a great person, great father, just all around a good person,” Brittany gushed over her new man. “He’s making me happy. We’re just focused on having fun and doing our thing right now.”
As for whether Brittany plans to introduce Hanson to her son, Cruz, 4, the reality star was coy.
“Just seeing how it goes, taking the time,” she said. “But he’s a great person. I really like him.”

Brittany is currently in the process of divorcing estranged husband Jax Taylor, 46, with whom she shares Cruz. The couple’s ups and downs — including their eventual split — were captured on The Valley season 2.
A source exclusively told Us Weekly in August that Brittany and Brandon had connected over shared experiences.
“Brittany and Brandon have a lot in common and have bonded over their divorces,” the insider said. “She is really happy and it feels good to have a genuine connection with someone again.”
At the time, the source said, Brandon had been separated from his estranged wife, Jasina Stanko, for seven months.
“His wife was made aware about Brittany in the last few weeks,” the source said. “[Brittany and Brandon] are dating and are really happy.”
Brittany’s Valley costar and friend Kristen Doute recently gave Brandon her seal of approval.
“She has someone in her life that’s really amazing that I am head over heels for,” Kristen told People in August. “She’s dated people during her single years since her ex-husband, and I have not approved of them.”
“They’ve been fine, but not wonderful. This person is very wonderful and very cool. [He has a] very family-feeling,” Kristen added.
