Brooke Williamson is explaining the origin of that new diamond ring amid her romance with Bobby Flay.
Days after Flay, 60, shared a photo via Instagram of Williamson, 47, with her hand in her pocket and a diamond ring visible, she told People that “there’s not a huge story behind” the jewelry.
“He’s a very generous, wonderful, romantic man and it was a really thoughtful gift and that’s what it is,” she told the outlet at the New York City Wine and Food Festival on Saturday, October 18.
While enjoying a public date night on Saturday, Flay and Williamson were all smiles as they hit the dance floor. In a video shared by the official New York City Wine and Food Festival Instagram account, Flay was seen twirling Williamson around as a crowd gathered around them.

Us Weekly confirmed in March that Flay and Williamson are dating after the pair sparked romance speculation after attending the L.A. No Kid Hungry Dinner earlier that month. In June, Flay shed insight into their relationship.
“Well, first of all, I’ve been friends with Brooke forever,” Flay told People at the time. “I mean, she and I have been friends for a long time and so we shot this show before we started actually officially dating. So it has always kind of been the same for me.”
Flay and Williamson appeared on a season of BBQ Brawl, where they served as a team captain and judge, respectively. The twosome previously collaborated on Bobby’s Triple Threat and Williamson was a competitor on Beat Bobby Flay.

“She’s been on the show basically since the inception,” he added. “So it’s always been fun to kind of have her around because we’ve been friends, but now going forward, it’s a little bit different. So we’ll see what that brings.”
Despite their commonality with cooking, Flay shared that he and Williamson connected on a deeper level.
“I love working with Brooke,” he said. “We have a lot in common. We’re very lucky. We’re both chefs. We both have kids. We’re both parents.”
He continued, “We are both in the restaurant business. We have tons to talk about in terms of the things that we love to do besides just go and have dinner every once in a while. So it’s been really great. And one of the things I really like about being in a relationship with Brooke is that she’s great to bounce things off of. Like, we ask each other’s opinion about things that we’re doing food wise or restaurant wise or business wise, all the time. So it’s really nice to have kind of a best friend that you’re dating that can also be helpful [with] answering the questions that you have.”
Prior to her romance with Flay, Williamson was married to business partner Nick Roberts. The pair, who share a son, separated in 2023 and finalized their divorce the next year.
Flay, meanwhile, has tied the knot three times. His first marriage to Debbie Ponzek was from 1991 to 1993, before he went on to marry Kate Connelly two years later. Flay and Connelly welcomed daughter Sophie in 1996 and separated the next year. He exchanged vows with actress Stephanie March in 2005, but the duo went their separate ways in 2015.
