Bruno Mars has released a new music video for his latest single, “I Just Might,” marking his first solo release in several years.The track serves as the lead single from his upcoming album The Romantic, which is scheduled for release on February 27.
The video, shared on YouTube, features Mars performing in a retro-inspired, wood-paneled setting while portraying multiple versions of himself. Across the visual, he is shown singing and playing several instruments, including drums, bongos, bass, and guitar, reinforcing the 1970s R&B and disco influences that have defined much of his recent work. The concept escalates with additional versions of Mars appearing onscreen, culminating in one version filming the performance.
Paste notes that “I Just Might” continues Mars’ long-standing tendency to explore different musical eras rather than shifting genres entirely. While earlier projects like 24K Magic leaned into early 1990s aesthetics and Silk Sonic paid homage to 1970s soul, this new single firmly remains within the latter stylistic lane.
The song is Mars’ first solo single since a string of high-profile collaborations and chart successes, including “Die With A Smile” and “APT.” His forthcoming album will be his first full-length solo project in nearly a decade.
In addition to the album announcement, Mars has confirmed a major solo stadium tour spanning North America and Europe. The tour is set to run from April through October, with opening performances scheduled from Anderson .Paak’s DJ Pee .Wee project, Leon Thomas, Raye, and Victoria Monét, as reported by Paste.
The release of “I Just Might” positions Mars for a significant return to the spotlight as both a solo recording artist and touring headliner.
