The City of Buffalo is exploring ways to curb chaos in the Chippewa Entertainment District.
This comes after Buffalo Police responded to reports of violent altercations on Chippewa Street two weekends ago.
Mayor Sean Ryan’s office said it would review security measures and policy changes for the area, but an ask has been sent to the city’s law department on a potential ordinance for the district, which would set an age restriction for from 10 p.m. to dawn Thursdays through Saturday night.
The Buffalo Common Council is expected to discuss that proposal Tuesday.
