Flatiron Sounds Music Festival: 7 p.m., Chautauqua Park, 900 Baseline Road, Boulder. Armchair Boogie’s high-energy take on the Jamgrass genre fuses intricate arrangements of acoustic guitar and banjo with the funky back beats of electric bass and drums. Augie Dougherty (banjo, vocals) and Ben Majeska (guitar, vocals) started playing together in the fall of 2014 while attending the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka JR.” follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. Shiba Raffle is an art-based raffle hosted by the Phoenix Asylum featuring the artwork of Mad King to raise funds for Planned Parenthood, Sunflower Seeds Ukraine and Humane World for Animals, with 1,069 prizes to be given away with 326 winners. The raffle will run through July 22. To kick it all off there will be a party featuring techno music by ((DIVERSE)), Cristal Aurelia, Papyrus and Brandon Brown.
