Offset is reflecting on the breakdown of his marriage to Cardi B. As his ex prepares to welcome her first child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, the rapper revealed he wasn’t faithful to Cardi. In a new interview, Offset admits he was “selfish” during their relationship.

Offset stopped by the Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast recently. While there, he opened up about his behavior during his marriage to Cardi B.

He seemed regretful on the October 7 episode, saying: “I should’ve respected her way more, you know what I mean? I made bad decisions as a man, like stepping out.”

Offset continued: “That’s why when she left, I had to take that on the chin. I was being selfish, you know what I mean? And I can say that as a man. I’m a grown man.”

He also told Keke he had made a “lot of mistakes” during their chat. He said: “[There’s] a lot of things that I did wrong. She did things that was wrong.”

Not everyone was buying his epiphany, though. In an Insta post featuring a clip of the conversation, people weren’t letting the rapper off the hook.

One commenter wrote: “But you didn’t ‘take it on the chin.’ You repeatedly harassed her, still disrespected her, and have the nerve to prolong the divorce because you want materials things she worked hard for after you did wrong.”

Another added: “He cheated on her MULTIPLE times but still wants HER money. The math ain’t mathing. And he’s not a superstar… ?”

Cardi also recently spoke candidly about her and Offset’s split and how she “felt the love dying.”

Offset and Cardi were married for nearly seven years before Cardi filed for divorce in July 2024. The couple have three kids together. The WAP rapper is expecting her fourth child with NFL star Stefon Diggs.
