The original judge of the reality competition series announced the news on Instagram, revealing that she was “feeling quite under the weather” as to why she will not make it to the first show of the 34th season.
There will be no guest judge to step into her place, and Inaba plans to return to the ballroom next week, a representative for DWTS told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I wanted to share that I will not be at the show tonight as I am feeling quite under the weather,” she wrote. “I’m resting up and can’t wait to be back next week in good health.”
