The latest release from the U.S. Department of Justice of more than three million pages of files tied to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has again put his relationship with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on the front pages. The information is deeply disturbing, including detailing how Andrew invited Epstein to Buckingham Palace a month after the sex offender was released from home arrest in Florida. The communications, including those released last year, show that Epstein’s conviction didn’t affect their relationship.
There are also three photos showing Andrew on all fours over an unidentified woman. There’s no context to the photos, so we don’t know who the woman is, her age, or where and when they were taken, but the images can best be described as creepy and/or deeply disturbing, given Andrew is visibly much older than the woman on the floor.
At the same time, a second woman has come forward to say she was an adult when she was trafficked by Epstein to have sex with Andrew, raising the possibility of another civil lawsuit (Andrew settled the one filed by Virginia Giuffre for millions).
Given the revelations, it’s not surprising that Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who formerly led the Crown Prosecution Service, repeated his call from November for Andrew to testify about his relationship with the convicted pedophile, saying, “Epstein’s victims have to be the first priority.”
The new files also contained emails between Epstein and Sarah Ferguson, including one in which she says that Epstein is “the brother I always wished for” and another in which she states, “I am at your service. Just marry me.” In addition, she offered him VIP tours of Buckingham Palace.
Some emails are vulgar and crude, including one from March 2010 when she tells Epstein that her teenage daughter, Eugenie, was away on a “shagging weekend.”
MY ANALYSIS: The latest revelations confirm that King Charles III did the right thing when he stripped Andrew and Sarah of all royal trappings. Given there are millions of pages still to be released, there’s undoubtedly more damaging information to come.
Andrew, Sarah and all the other famous people in these files clearly never thought their emails, texts, and other communications would ever become public.
The newest Jeffrey Epstein revelations are arguably a bigger problem for Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway. Like Andrew, she’s previously apologized for her relationship with Epstein, which didn’t end as early as previously stated.
