Catherine handed sensation Arthur Fery a birthday card this afternoon, as the youngster invited Prince George and Princess Charlotte to play tennis with him.
The Prince and Princess of Wales arrived at the All England Club with George and Charlotte shortly after 3pm today for the Men’s Singles Final.
Catherine, dressed in an olive green midi-dress, presented the British wildcard with a birthday card to celebrate his 24th birthday today.
Both William and Catherine offered their congratulations to the tennis player following his remarkable run to the semi-finals at this year’s Championships.
“What a tournament,” William remarked to Fery during their exchange.
The young British player, who entered Wimbledon as a wildcard, also received praise for his remarkable fortnight on the grass courts that grabbed the world’s attention.
Fery then extended a rather charming invitation to the young royals during his conversation with their mother.
“I hear your children play tennis,” he was overheard telling Catherine.

“I know the whole family are all tennis fans, so I told her if her kids ever wanted to hit, I’m free,” Fery added. “It would be good to see them again.”
When pressed on whether the Princess of Wales might accept his proposal for a knockabout with George and Charlotte, the birthday boy remained hopeful yet realistic.
“Let’s see, I don’t know… Let’s see if I get the call up,” he said with good humour.
Fery spoke warmly of his experience playing on Centre Court, telling Catherine he had never competed on the famous surface before this tournament.

“Really special,” he described the occasion to the princess.
The semi-finalist also revealed his immediate plans following his breakthrough Championships.
“Next week’s going to be nice, I’m going on holiday, I’ll be able to relax a little bit and process everything,” he told Catherine, adding he was “ready to relax” after his demanding fortnight.
The princess had attended Fery’s second-round match, something the player acknowledged with gratitude.
“It was good to see her here and good to meet her finally,” he said. “She wished me good luck for the rest of the year and congratulated me for these two weeks.”
As patron of the All England Club, Catherine will present the winner’s trophy following today’s final.
Yesterday, she handed Linda Nosková the coveted Venus Rosewater Dish after a dramatic victory over Karolína Muchová.
Last year, she awarded the title to Jannik Sinner, who made history as the first Italian to claim a Wimbledon singles crown. He faces Alexander Zverev this afternoon looking to defend his title.
