POTTSVILLE, Pa. – A winter celebration featuring live entertainment, shopping, food, beverages, and interactive winter-themed attractions is returning to Schuylkill County.
The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce announced the return of Schuylkill Winterfest.
The festival will take place Saturday, January 17, 2026, from noon to 5 p.m. at Alvernia University Pottsville CollegeTowne, according to a news release from the Schuylkill County Chamber of Commerce.
Billed as The Coolest Event in Schuylkill County, Schuylkill Winterfest brings the community together for events spread across both indoor and outdoor spaces, according to the chamber.
Craft and artisan vendors will be located indoors at Alvernia University Pottsville CollegeTowne.
The Chamber of Commerce said food trucks, local wineries, kids’ activity areas, and additional attractions will be located outdoors, with designated areas featuring heat sources to help attendees stay warm while enjoying the festival.
The 2026 event will feature dozens of local vendors, food trucks, wineries, and a Yuengling Beer Garden, according to the news release.

The chamber says live music by The Zenith will anchor the entertainment lineup throughout the afternoon, alongside signature attractions and competitions, including:
Ice carving demonstration at 1:30 p.m., sponsored by Geisinger
Mrs. T’s Pierogy Eating Contest at 2 p.m.
Boilo Contest at 3 p.m.
Kids’ play area and family-friendly attractions
Schuylkill Winterfest 2026 is supported by a network of local and regional sponsors, including Bob Weaver Auto as Mug Sponsor, Explore Schuylkill as Entertainment Sponsor, CACL Financial as Information Center Sponsor, Geisinger as Ice Carving Demonstration Sponsor, Fighter’s Heaven and Quandel Enterprises as Logo Sculpture Sponsors, Prominent Cleaning Solutions as Frozen Throne Sponsor, and supporting sponsors Arrow Studio & Events, Hidden River Credit Union, and Sterman Masser, Inc.
“Winterfest continues to be a celebration of everything that makes Schuylkill County special,” said Tony Merchlinsky, Member Relations & Marketing Director of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce.
“It highlights our local businesses, embraces regional traditions, and creates a fun, welcoming environment for the community, even in the heart of winter.”
Admission to Schuylkill Winterfest is free, and free parking will be available near the event, according to the news release.
