SAN FRANCISCO — Famous faces were popping up across San Francisco this week as filming was underway in the city for the independent romantic comedy “The Invite,” starring Olivia Wilde and Seth Rogen, according to reports.
On Tuesday, the actors spent the morning at A.P. Giannini Middle School and rush hour at the Glen Park BART station, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Then, on Wednesday, shooting moved to Molinari’s Deli, where Wilde was spotted, according to KRON. SFGate reported filming notices for Invite Productions Inc. were posted for Wednesday at the Make Out Room nightclub.
Wilde will direct the film, Variety reported last month, adding it will also star Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton. The movie was inspired by the Spanish film “Sentimental” and adapted by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, according to Variety.
An official synopsis published by Variety described “The Invite” as being about “a couple [who] invites the neighbors over, igniting an evening full of unexpected twists and turns, revealing deeply repressed emotions and unexplored sexuality.”
