Holyoke Mayor Joshua Garcia and retired probation officer Joseph McGiveren was some of the celebrity bartenders to benefit the Holyoke Rotary Club.
This is the rotary’s second year hosting the celebrity bartending fundraiser, which also included raffles and local food trucks. The money raised at the event will allow them to continue philanthropic work throughout the community.
Holyoke Rotary Club member, Barbara Baron, stated, “It means everything to keep our communities thriving. And that’s what counts. Keep our communities thriving, get people together, enjoy themselves, and learn more about what Rotary is all about.”
Since 2008, the Rotary has raised over $150,000 to fund various initiatives, including the Miracle League of Western Massachusetts Inclusive Playground at Kennedy Field, the media room at the Holyoke Library, K-9 vests for the Holyoke Police Department, and literacy projects with Kelly School and Holyoke Boys and Girls Club, among others.
